What's hotter than an alien with scales? An alien with wings and scales, not to mention a hot body.
At 457 Preor years old, Jarek sen Claron is a dragon ready for his final flight into the skies. This voyage to Earth as the War Master of the third fleet will be his final assignment. Once he has helped his fellow Preors secure human mates, he will return to Preor before the madness of loneliness overtakes his mind.
That all changes when he meets Melissa. Human Melissa with her sparkling eyes, bright smile, and body that would make any hot-blooded male drool. Unfortunately, she never registered as a Preor mate hopeful. No matter, the Knowing stretches between them and there is no way she can resist him. Until she does.
Jarek wishes to give her the choice to mate him, while everything inside him screams to take Melissa beneath his wing, now. No choosing necessary.
But should he draw her to his side when his enemies are circling? Many males do not believe the son of a Preor mass murderer deserves to have a mate. Can he survive the coming battles? Or will he die without tasting sweet Melissa's lips?

I went into this never having read a weredragon or dragon alien book before, but I do loveeeeee alien/human romance/erotica. This just didn't do it for me and by 80%, I actually contemplated not finishing it. It just didn't flow for me. Of course, this is all my own personal opinion! Others seemed to have loved this. I did read AFTER completing this book that I should have read the UJAL series first, because I WAS extremely confused. The first couple chapters of the book, I was SOOOO confused with the characters. Like...wait who is Erun? How is he related to Melissa? Wait....Tabby is who? Hahah, it was insanely confusing for me.As for the writing, it was a little too choppy and I felt as if ideas were allllllll over the place. I'd have to back up a few pages to remember what they were talking about and all that. There were a few editing errors but nothing I couldn't figure out. I just felt the flow of the book wasn't fluid.
The character development was also slightly lacking, I just couldn't LOVE Jarek and Melissa together. This whole book is the span of like maybe a week for the characters.
I don't believe I'll finish the series unfortunately, but it's only because it's not MY cup of tea. You may love this though!
If you're here for the sex, it's like one or two good scenes at the end of the book. The steam wasn't there throughout either.

Jarek Dragons of Preor Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition) Celia Kyle Todd Mrozek Mandy Lane audiOMG! Books Reviews
This is the first book that I have read by Celia Kyle. I have two of her other books on my TBR list and am hoping to read them soon. Wanted to read this series because she has a new book in this series coming out about baby dragons being born and I want to read it. So, I am reading the ‘The Dragons of Preor” right now. Loved this first book about Jarek and his mate Melissa. Thought Celia did an excellent job telling their story. I am hoping that this is a sign of the rest of the books in this series. This one for sure is one to grab and read. I am sure you will not be disappointed.
Jarek is a dragon shifter on the planet Preor. These dragons keep the wings when in human form. (Which I thought was an awesome take on the dragon shifter.) He is getting to the age where he will go into the madness since he has not found his mate in his 457 years and he never thought to ever find her. So, as the War Master of the third fleet he decided to help the young dragons find their mate with the treaty from earth and the help of the Ujal. He had no idea that he would ever find his mate, much less on earth. He figured this would be his last trip before heading into his final journey as the madness consumes him. Once he leaves the ship to meet with the Ujal delegation he gets this odd feeling that something isn’t right and being the War Master assumed that maybe the Ujal were in danger. But that changes once he reaches delegation and he sees Melissa with the Prince Tave’s baby then the Knowing struck.
The Ujal are going to be advocates in helping the Preor find their human mates. Melissa never registered as a potential Preor mate because she is the nanny to the baby of the Ujal Prince Tave and Principessa Rina fa’Vyl-Zeret. While playing with the baby Ressa, Melissa’s world began to change. She could tell that something wasn’t right and that it was as if the air is sucked out of her. She has feelings that she isn’t feeling and can’t seem to separate each feeling from the next.
This is where I stop. Because from here on out you need to read the book and see for yourself how good it gets. Jarek has his job cut out for him in protecting Melissa and himself from the Preor that do not believe he deserves a mate. Will Jarek and Melissa survive the coming storm?
No Spoilers.
This is a paranormal romance with action. This is the first book in the Dragons of Preor. I can not wait to read more. This is for adult's only due to the sexual content. This is a fast paced read with a HOT dragon alien what more could you ask for? I really enjoyed the connection between Jarek and Melissa and how he gave her time to adjust to him, he didn't force their mating on her.
Jarek is a alien dragon who is on his final flight, he is ready to accept he will never mate and he will die a lonely mad death. Well until he meets human Melissa, he wants to take her immediately but she has other plans. Tragedy strikes and Jarek is in danger, Melissa realizes she has feelings for him.... more than she was willing to admit. Can she accept this dragon of a man, or will Jarek parish from his injuries?
